On March 26th, 2027, The Ribbons of Awareness Foundation services will begin accepting applications for qualified individuals who are experiencing challenges with seeking healthcare. The foundation offers health-related resources to assist North Carolinians in Alamance, Durham and Guildford counties.
By providing services like transportation support to and from medical appointments, we aim to help ensure individuals in need receive care without obstacles. North Carolina residents who are uninsured, children living with illness, and individuals enrolled in state Medicare and Medicaid programs are all eligible to apply. While we prioritize individuals who meet the requirements, individuals who are in need and insured privately or through their employer plan are encouraged to apply.
Our services allow individuals in need of health treatments and procedures to access it with less burdens and challenges. We offer: transportation support, assistance with procedures and treatments, health screenings, annual check-ups, dietary and nutrition education and financial assistance.
To qualify for services, individuals must meet the following criteria:
- be a North Carolina resident
- be uninsured or insured through Medicaid or Medicare programs
- make less than $50,000 annual household income
